About The Position

The Echocardiography Technologist is responsible for the performance of echocardiography procedures requiring independent judgment, critical thinking skills and initiative. These procedures include, but are not limited to, transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiography via save and appropriate use of echocardiographic imaging equipment.

Requirements

• High school graduate.
• Demonstrated technical knowledge and scanning proficiency in diagnostic cardiac imaging.
• Registered or registry eligible through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work compatibly with patients, physicians, supervisors, and technologists.
• Adaptability to change.
• Successful completion of Acts 73 and/or 169 clearances within 90 days of commencing employment, if applicable.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with computer applications
• Previous experience in echocardiography/stress echocardiography
