About The Position

Essentia Health is seeking an Echocardiography Technologist (Echo Tech) to join their team in Brainerd and Baxter, Minnesota. This role involves performing a variety of echocardiographic studies in different settings, providing measurement and image data to Cardiologists for interpretation. The technologist may also perform other cardiovascular tests as required by the Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Lab. Requirements

Current registration as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) OR Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International
New hire technologists must be registry eligible and become registered within 6 months of hire
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 1 month of hire or transfer
If Technical Director: Must have Pediatric Echocardiography - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification
East Market: Must meet the driving requirements and criteria acceptable to Essentia Health's insurer (Not required for East Brainerd Lakes)
West Market: Employees working in ND and performing medical imaging or radiation therapy procedures must have current license on North Dakota Medical Imaging & Radiation Therapy Board of Examiners (NDMIRT) upon hire/transfer
Verification of your legal right to work in the United States
Health screening and immunization review
Verification of applicable licensure, certifications, education, and experience
Background checks including criminal, urine drug screen and MVR where required

Responsibilities

Performs a variety of echocardiographic studies in the echo lab, patient care units, procedural units, or surgical setting for patients.
Will provide measurement and image data to the Cardiologists for interpretation.
The Echo Technologist may also perform other cardiovascular tests as required by Essentia Health Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Lab.
