Performs various echocardiography studies on patients under the direction of a Cardiologist, Supervisor and/or Lead Technologist. Gathers and documents appropriate data and reports probable findings to appropriate physicians. Maintains certification/registration with approved credentialing agencies. Conducts and assists with the interpretation of various types of echocardiograms including M-mode, 2-D, and doppler, and to assist with transesophageal and stress echo. Prepares and instructs the patient, performs the study to obtain maximum quality results, cleans and maintains proper functioning of equipment, enters patient data in computer systems.
