About The Position
With physician orders, performs high quality diagnostic echocardiography on adult patients under both National and AHI guidelines. Completes technologist impression of study, often in written form. Evaluation, coordination, and supervision of technical proficiency shall be provided by the physicians. Must have strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, terminology and disease processes. Must have a high level of analytical ability to obtain appropriate images and required measurements per ASE guidelines. Must have ability to work both autonomously as well as with a team Maintains patient confidentiality Other duties as assigned by supervision This job description is intended to provide basic guidelines for meeting job requirements. Requirements
- Graduate of AMA approved school of Cardiac Echocardiography
- One year as a primary or assistant cardiac Echocardiographer
- Completion of Registry by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or Cardiovascular Credentialing International
- Current CPR certification
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, terminology and disease processes
- High level of analytical ability
