About The Position

This position is responsible for performing Adult Echocardiography and Stress/Echo tests. The role involves greeting and preparing patients, explaining procedures, selecting and utilizing appropriate technical factors, processing images, and maintaining work logs. The Echocardiographer will also provide preliminary reports and collaborate with physicians to ensure protocols are met. Continuous professional development through continuing education is expected, along with compliance with all system policies to deliver high-quality service.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Echocardiogram Technology program
Reg Diagnostic Med Sonographer

Responsibilities

Greets and confirms patients, assists patient with appropriate attire for procedure.
Explains procedure length, properly positions patient for procedure, and expectations along with desired results.
Selects and utilizes appropriate technical factors for procedure based on body habits, pathology, and body parts.
Processes completed images making sure they are of interpretable quality.
Continues to develop professionally through continuing education programs and in-services.
Complies with all policies of the system with the intention of delivering the highest quality of service.
Performs Adult Echocardiography, Stress/Echo tests.
Maintains work logs.
Provides preliminary reports.
Works closely with physicians to ensure protocols are established and met.
Performs other duties as assigned.
