About The Position

Shared Medical Technology (SMT) is seeking a dedicated Echo Technologist to join their growing team. This role involves providing echocardiography services to rural hospitals and clinics throughout the Eau Claire area, ensuring patients receive quality cardiac imaging close to home. Requirements

• Registered or Registry Eligible Echo Technologist (RDCS, RCS, or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology.
• Previous echocardiography experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
• Understanding of infection prevention and aseptic techniques.
• Excellent communication and patient care skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a supportive team.

Nice To Haves

• General and vascular ultrasound experience is a plus!

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality echocardiograms and related cardiac imaging procedures.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety while explaining procedures with compassion and professionalism.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to support accurate diagnosis and patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and comply with all regulatory requirements.
• Maintain equipment and uphold quality assurance standards.
• Stay current with advances in echocardiography and imaging technology.
