About The Position
As an Echo Tech/Sonographer, you will perform diagnostic echocardiography procedures to assist in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions. Every day you will operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality cardiac images and data, ensuring patient comfort and performing a range of echocardiographic studies. To be successful, you will possess a strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, proficient technical skills, and effective communication abilities to provide exceptional diagnostic services.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years college with emphasis in medical sciences and mathematics.
- Five years experience as Echocardiographic technologist, upon hire
- Verifiable completion of 18 contact hours of in-service/continuing education in clinical Echocardiography, upon hire
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI, within 12 - months or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, within 12 - months or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echo, within 12 - months or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Fetal Echo, within 12 - months or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Pediatric Echo, within 12 - months or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, within 12 - months or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Fetal Echo, within 12 - months
- Basic Life Support - CPR, within 30 Days
Responsibilities
- Performs Cardiovascular Ultrasound Procedures
- Maintains Equipment and Supplies
- Interacts with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Facilitates scheduling of sufficient personnel for efficient clinic acvies.
- Coordinates services between physicians, hospitals, clinics and outreach services.
- Contributes to a congenial work environment.
- Accurately prepares monthly reports for productivity.
- Maintains accurate log of echo procedures performed.
- Correctly charges for procedures performed.
- Assist with the development and update of policy and procedure manual.
- Assist Cardiovascular Administrator with capital budget.
- Participates in in services and continuing education programs to advance knowledge of echo testing.
- Provides learning opportunities for participants in outreach program.
