The Per Diem Echocardiograph Technologist is responsible for acquiring and interpreting m-mode, 2-D, pulse and continuous Doppler and color Doppler echocardiograms, contrast echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms, as well as completing echo worksheets and performing all necessary calculations in a timely manner. Staff member will be responsible for the care of adult and geriatric patients. Each staff member will rely on their past experiences, as well as their professional training with the geriatric and adult patient, to meet these standards. Staff training will be reinforced by the following methods: a. continuing education required to keep a Current Registry status b. video/digital presentations (both in the hospital and outside) c. seminars and conferences addressing cutting edge technology as well as reinforcement of the basics
