About The Position

As an Echo Tech/Sonographer, you will perform diagnostic echocardiography procedures to assist in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions. Every day you will operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality cardiac images and data, ensuring patient comfort and performing a range of echocardiographic studies. To be successful, you will possess a strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, proficient technical skills, and effective communication abilities to provide exceptional diagnostic services.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years related experience
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 days
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI, upon hire or
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, upon hire or
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echo, upon hire or
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Fetal Echo, upon hire or
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, upon hire or
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Fetal Echo, upon hire

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Other or
  • One year certificate from a health-related program in a related medical field, which includes seminar course training in cardiac ultrasound

Responsibilities

  • Operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality cardiac images and data, ensuring patient comfort and performing a range of echocardiographic studies.
  • Prepare equipment ensuring that equipment is operational, safe and functioning according to diagnostic standards.
  • Problem solve equipment failure and imaging quality and contacts service representative regarding equipment problems.
  • Ensure that daily equipment and room maintenance is performed during/after each procedure, and that special precautions and measures are performed to ensure infection control standards.
  • Complete all quality checks and ensure that equipment logs are maintained.
  • Complete all clinical supply inventories, ensuring that each diagnostic room is complete with the necessary supplies required to perform the procedure.
  • Actively participate with patient testing, performing routine, non-routine, urgent, and emergent patient requests.
