About The Position

As our Echo Tech/Sonographer, you will perform diagnostic echocardiography procedures to assist in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions. Every day you will operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality cardiac images and data, ensuring patient comfort and performing a range of echocardiographic studies. To be successful in this role, you must possess a strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, proficient technical skills, and effective communication abilities to provide exceptional diagnostic services.

Requirements

• Technologist will have graduated from nationally recognized Cardiac Echo ultrasound program
• Minimum of 1 year experience performing 2-D, M-Mode, and Color Flow Doppler Echo's on adults
• Basic Life Support - CPR
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI, within 12 - months or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, within 12 - months or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echo or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Fetal Echo or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Pediatric Echo or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

Responsibilities

• Able to perform a complete array of Diagnostic Ultra Sound Procedures as ordered by a Physician.
• Able to select proper probe to obtain excellent results for Cardiologist interpretation.
• Able to trouble shoot equipment in determining possible failure.
• Uses positioning and immobilization devices as appropriate in safe and effective manner
• Transmits digital images to the PACS system for archiving and retrieval of patient information for filming.
• Reports equipment problems in an efficient manner.
