Produces and creates cardiovascular diagnostic ultrasound digital images. Sonographer utilizes a variety of technical modalities and specific procedures for ultrasound diagnosis. Responsible for patient care and their safety. Assists physicians during procedures. Assumes all responsibility for job related procedures and equipment. Participates in department orientation of new staff members. Demonstrates the ability to perform studies on pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics patients. Performs all types of Cardiac Stress testing, Pharmacological Stress Testing, Tilt Tables, Transesophageal Echocardiograms, Echocardiograms, and Electrocardiograms. Has the knowledge to report full diagnostic reports using the Cardiology Pac’s system, The Case 8000, Muse system and the EMR. Works cooperatively with members of the health care team to maintain standards of professional Cardiovascular Ultrasound studies, and Cardiac testing in the clinical setting.
