About The Position

The VCH Cardio-Cath Lab is seeking an ECHO Tech to provide patient care through various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. This role involves performing angiograms, echocardiograms, nuclear stress procedures, treadmill procedures, Holter monitoring, Transesophageal Echocardiograms, cardioversions, and assisting with patient recovery, education, and teaching. The position also requires knowledge of radiation safety and maintaining imaging records. Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved discipline specific program.
  • Relevant Work Experience.
  • 1 year of experience.
  • LIC-Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer - Licensure-Others

  • Diagnostic Equipment (Novice): Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate the use of diagnostic tools in practical applications of moderate difficulty.
  • Compliance (Novice): Can explain and apply basic statutory instructions in normal situations on the job. Understands the principles upon which the rules and regulations are based. Appropriately escalates problems relating to rules and regulations in timely and effective manner.
  • Patient Documentation (Novice): Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate patient documentation in practical applications of moderate difficulty. Generally works under the direction of others while accomplishing assignments.
  • Echocardiography Technology (Novice): Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate echocardiography technology in practical applications of moderate difficulty.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care through performance of a variety of therapeutic, diagnostic, and technical procedures including angiograms echocardiograms, nuclear stress procedures, treadmill procedures, Holter monitoring, Transesophageal Echocardiograms, cardioversions, patient recovery, and patient teaching.
  • Obtain and interpret Echo images.
  • Perform Transesophageal Echo and manage storage, cleaning, and logs of the probe.
  • Interpret EKGs.
  • Place Holter monitors.
  • Assist with treadmills.
  • Assist with patient recovery, education, and teaching.
  • Adhere to Radiation Safety protocols.
  • Maintain imaging and burn CDs.
