We are currently seeking a qualified candidate to work as a Cardiac Sonographer. The Cardiac Sonographer will be responsible for performing diagnostic echocardiograms to assist in the assessment of cardiac conditions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work independently, will be detail oriented, proficient in cardiac imaging techniques, and committed to delivering excellent patient care.

Requirements

Associate's or bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Cardiac Sonography, or a related field. and/or Cardiovascular Sonography program.
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) credential from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) and/or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer, preferably in a clinical or outpatient setting.
Proficiency in operating echocardiographic equipment and other equipment involved with sharing studies with cardiology provider.
Proficient in performing a variety of cardiac imaging techniques and strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology with the ability to identify and report abnormalities.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
High attention to detail and accuracy in performing and documenting echocardiographic procedures.
Demonstrated ability to provide empathetic and patient centered care.

Responsibilities

Perform transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) to evaluate cardiac function, structure, and blood flow.
Explain procedures to patients, ensure comfort, and obtain accurate patient history to support diagnostic accuracy.
Analyze echocardiographic images to identify and document abnormalities or changes in cardiac function and structure.
Accurately record and maintain patient information, test results, and technical details in electronic health records (EHR) and prepare detailed reports for review by physicians.
Work closely with cardiologists, primary care physicians, and other healthcare professionals to integrate echocardiographic findings into patient care plans.
Operate and maintain echocardiographic equipment, perform quality checks, and report any malfunctions or issues.
Adhere to all safety protocols, infection control procedures, and regulatory guidelines to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
Educate patients and their families about cardiac conditions and echocardiographic procedures as needed.
