About The Position
This is a travel/contract position for an Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer in Plainview, Texas. The role involves performing high-quality transthoracic echocardiograms and assisting with other cardiac ultrasound procedures. The position is for a 13-week contract at a Level IV Trauma facility with 49 beds. The shift is 4x10, 40 hours per week, from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, with some weekend on-call duties.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience
- TX License
- ACLS/BLS certifications
- RDCS or RCS
- BLS (AHA only)
- EPIC preferred
- Must have general ultrasound, fetal ultrasound, OB, Breast, Transvaginal, vascular, echocardiogram, adult echo, contrast echo, Echo stress treadmill experience

Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
- Assist with stress echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE), and contrast studies as needed.
- Acquire and optimize diagnostic cardiac ultrasound images for interpretation by cardiologists.
- Evaluate image quality and obtain additional views when clinically indicated.
- Prepare patients by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort throughout the examination.
- Operate, maintain, and perform quality control on echocardiography equipment.
- Accurately document patient information and imaging findings in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and HIPAA guidelines.
