About The Position

This position is for an Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer at a teaching hospital that is Magnet certified and a Level 1 Trauma center. The role involves working a varying 5x8 hour shift from 7am-5:30pm, with required on-call duties during weekdays and weekends. The technologist will also be expected to work 1-2 weekends per month from 8am-6pm. The daily caseload is typically 7-8 patients for an 8-hour shift and 8-10 patients for a 10-hour shift. Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams, including during hurricane season (June-November).

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience.
• ARDMS RVT/RDCS (AE) OR CCI RCS/RVS certification.
• BLS certification.
• Possession of a radiation badge.
• Must include all requested time off at the time of submission.
• Must adhere to a 60-mile radius rule for travel.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiograms and cardiac sonography procedures.
• Work varying 5x8 hour shifts from 7am-5:30pm.
• Be available for on-call duties during weekdays and weekends.
• Work 1-2 weekends per month from 8am-6pm.
• Float to sister facilities as needed.
• Participate in emergency response teams.
