As we expand our integrated care offerings, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate ECHO Sonographer to join our dynamic diagnostic services team. This is a unique opportunity to work in a collaborative outpatient setting that combines orthopedic and cardiovascular diagnostics to deliver comprehensive care under one roof. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Echo Tech to join OrthoArizona PeriOperative (Cardiology) Team in Phoenix (Arcadia), AZ. and Gilbert AZ. This is a Part-Time role for 15-20 hours a week. The candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations, assisting physicians in evaluating patient conditions, and ensuring high-quality imaging results. The Echo Tech will work one day a week in Phoenix, AZ (Arcadia) and one day a week in Gilbert, AZ.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Echo Tech with minimum 3 years experience.
  • Certification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDCS) or CCI.
  • Strong knowledge of ultrasound technology and cardiac anatomy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment and effectively communicate with patients.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic echocardiograms as ordered by physicians.
  • Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and answering any questions.
  • Operate ultrasound equipment and adjust settings to obtain optimal images.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and document findings appropriately.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide quality patient care.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment as needed.
  • Upload echo reports into the EMR from the PACS system.
  • Ensures echocardiography functions are within compliance of professional scope of practice, accreditation and regulatory standards
  • Assures the efficient operation of workflow in the department. Monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and material to ensure non-interruption of services. Performs high level disinfecting in accordance with manufacturers and regulatory policies and procedures.
