About The Position

The Electronic Central Gateway (ECG) Software Design and Release (D&R) Engineer is a critical role responsible for leading the delivery, integration, and validation of gateway software across next-generation vehicle architectures (FNV2, FNV3, and FNV3.x). This role acts as a vital bridge between internal software development teams, program management, and external Base Tech Platform (BTP) suppliers. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise in automotive embedded systems with agile project management skills to ensure high-quality software is delivered on time, supporting successful vehicle launches and continuous post-launch improvements. This role involves managing and overseeing the technical execution, integration, and delivery of ECG software into FNV2, FNV3, and FNV3.x vehicle programs, ensuring all software releases meet strict project requirements, quality standards, and program milestones. It also includes providing hands-on leadership and engineering support for the timely integration and seamless functionality of ECG software during new vehicle launches, as well as managing ongoing software maintenance, updates, and over-the-air (OTA) improvements. The engineer will facilitate collaboration between vehicle program teams, BTP suppliers, and internal software development teams, championing agile methodologies to streamline processes and ensure efficient, timely software delivery. Additionally, the role requires partnering with software development program management teams to define and optimize processes for on-time software delivery, providing on-site engineering support for troubleshooting, flashing, testing, and validating ECG software, and utilizing connected vehicle data for root-cause analysis. The engineer will also apply project management best practices to identify and mitigate risks associated with software development and integration, and promote a collaborative team culture that encourages innovation and continuous process improvement.
