About The Position

Assists one or more Early Childhood teachers in the education, care, supervision, and instruction of pre-school aged children, in classrooms, common areas, and playgrounds at a center dedicated to pre-kindergarten children, and in the community. Maintains and prepares classroom and related environments, materials, and control of forms. Assists in developing play-oriented curriculum.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
California Associate Teacher Permit (Referred by Federal head Start as “Child Development Associate Credential”) or Associate Degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
Valid driver’s license.
Certificate or permit required as defined in the Child Development Permit Matrix established through the California Department of Education.
CPR/First Aid certificate with pediatric endorsement.
Certification (California Associate Teacher Permit or AA Degree or Higher)
CPR/First Aid Certification (With pediatric endorsement)
NCLB Compliance (48 college units (semester) or pass the Paraeducator Proficiency Exam)
Proof of HS Graduation (High School Diploma, High School Transcripts or Equivalent (ex: GED))
Resume (Provide clear evidence of required experience)
