About The Position

ECE Substitute teacher at Heritage Oak have the opportunity to enjoy working with a wide variety of students and implementing an array of teaching methods and techniques. Your broad knowledge of subject matter and executing lesson plans will help ensure the classroom runs smoothly on any day as necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• Ability to pass both state and federal background checks
• Frequently walk, stand, sit, squat, stoop, reach, kneel, rise from the floor, twist, listen, read, write, and speak the English language.
• Often carry, lift, use repetitive or fine hand movements, and occasionally push, pull, or bend.
• Regularly required to hear and use clear vision with or without correction.

Nice To Haves

• Previous teaching or assistant teaching experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Promote positive development of social and emotional competencies in students
• Cover classroom duties as needed
• Develop relationships with other school staff
• Maintain a well-organized and engaging classroom environment
• Create and deliver lesson plans
• Execute effective classroom management strategies
• Participate collaboratively and professionally with other faculty and staff to promote rigorous learning opportunities and the general well-being of the school
