About The Position

The Adams Lake Indian Band is looking for an Early Childhood Educator Assistant to support leave coverage. The ECEA will work under the direction of the Early Learning Coordinator to offer assistance with the care of the children in Sexqeltqin Early Learning Centre. We are currently seeking team members who are committed to being culturally aware, intentional, collaborative, and reflective in their work, and are enthusiastic about on-going professional development.

Requirements

• Valid Early Childhood Education Assistant Certificate
• Organization and Time Management
• Emergency Child Safe/First Aid certificate
• Current Criminal Records Check with vulnerable sector clearance, with results acceptable to ALIB
• Food Safe Certificate

Responsibilities

• Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with Adams Lake Indian Band policies and procedures
• Develop curriculum that aligns with organizational goals, mission, vision and 6 components of AHSOR
• Build relationships with children and families through respectful and positive interactions
• Establish and maintain positive, collaborative and effective team relationships
• Provide supervision and care of children in and out of the classroom, including field trips
• Prepares early learning materials as directed and assists with projects as well as clean up
• Other related duties as required
