About The Position

Montessori Kids Universe Bannockburn is seeking a Montessori Lead Teacher to join their dedicated team. This role involves guiding young learners (ages 6 weeks to 6 years) in a high-quality, authentic Montessori environment. The Lead Teacher will foster independence, creativity, and a love for learning, playing a vital role in guiding children toward success while maintaining a warm and collaborative classroom culture.

Requirements

Montessori Certification from an accredited Montessori training center desired - willing to train.
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of one year of full-time teaching experience in an early childhood setting.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to supervise and mentor Assistant Teachers.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Must be eligible to work in the United States.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

Lead a Montessori-prepared environment that supports each child’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
Plan and implement Montessori lessons and activities tailored to meet the needs of individual learners.
Ensure the classroom is organized, safe, and well-prepared with age-appropriate materials.
Foster a positive, respectful, and nurturing environment that promotes independence and self-confidence.
Maintain a normalized classroom, ensuring children have opportunities to develop coordination, concentration, independence, and order.
Build strong relationships with families by communicating regularly about student progress.
Conduct parent-teacher conferences and provide progress reports to discuss child development.
Collaborate with parents and staff to create a supportive learning environment at school and at home.
Supervise and mentor Assistant Teachers, ensuring a cohesive teaching team.
Collaborate with staff members to create enriching curriculum experiences.
Actively participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and Montessori accreditation standards.
Maintain student records and progress documentation.
Follow all health, safety, and emergency procedures to provide a safe and nurturing classroom environment.
