About The Position

The Process Risk COE and Strategic Execution (PRSE) team is part of the RBC Enterprise Chief Control’s Office (ECCO). This cross-enterprise function is designed to unify and strengthen First Line of Defense (1LOD) risk activities across all Business Units (BUs) and Functions, driving consistency and bolstering control practices. Process Risk COE and Strategic Execution is a new mandate focused on being a trusted advisor to 1LOD risk managers by developing, implementing, and training on a proactive, standardized, scalable process management discipline that empowers the bank to reduce risk and execute processes consistently and independently to drive business improvement and deliver on strategic objectives. This team is also responsible for ensuring the execution of RBC’s enterprise (Board, COE and Group Executive) initiatives meet outcomes, on time, on budget across multiple platforms. Working within a high-performance area of the bank, the team provides opportunities for skill development, career advancement, and the chance to work on the bank’s most ambitious initiatives. We are seeking a highly motivated and organized student intern to join our team. As a Business Analyst Process Risk COE Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, contributing to various projects and tasks while developing your skills, knowledge, and network.

Requirements

  • A can-do attitude and enthusiasm for learning
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Detail-oriented with good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must be returning to school after the work term end-date of December 2026, or require the full 4-months work term as a mandatory component to graduate successfully if not returning to school.
  • Must be located within Ontario for the duration of the work term.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in risk management, operations or process optimization
  • Ability to learn and absorb new concepts (in business and in systems) quickly and apply new knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Assist team members with building proposals and presentations to support decision making and program delivery
  • Conduct research and analysis on assigned topics, presenting findings in a clear and concise manner
  • Contribute to defined projects or tasks under direct supervision
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals and objectives
  • Participate in meetings and workshops, taking minutes and action items as required
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of requirements
