About The Position

Savannah Technical College is seeking a qualified adjunct instructor to teach in the Early Childhood Care and Education program. This is a part-time, non-benefited, FLSA-exempt position in the Public Services Division and reports to the Department Head of Early Childhood Care and Education. The position requires the ability to teach online, in Liberty County, and in Savannah, and may require travel between Savannah Technical College campus locations.

Requirements

  • Must possess a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education and/or Elementary Education discipline or a master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in any combination of qualifying fields or a related field
  • Three years of work experience in early childhood Education within the past five years
  • Ability and willingness to work at multiple campus locations, as assigned
  • Excellent human-relations, interpersonal skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated supervisory experience in Early Childhood Education
  • Prior teaching experience (preferably in a post-secondary setting)
  • Experience with Blackboard and Banner
  • Familiarity with college accreditation standards
  • Ability and willingness to travel to Hinesville and/or Savannah

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and delivering lecture and/or lab course material in both face-to-face and hybrid formats
  • Delivering engaging classroom instruction aligned with program standards and student learning outcomes
  • Evaluating and recording students' progress in attaining goals and objectives
  • Preparing and maintaining all required documentation and departmental reports
  • Maintaining up‑to‑date knowledge of Early Childhood Care and Education procedures
