About The Position

Georgia-Pacific's Gypsum Division is seeking qualified professionals for their Maintenance Planner opportunity to support the manufacturing operations at the facility located in Sweetwater, TX. Georgia-Pacific is one of the world’s leading makers of tissue, pulp, packaging, building products and related chemicals. You may recognize our household brands, such as Brawny® paper towels, Quilted Northern® bath tissue and Dixie® cups and tableware. Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a planner within a manufacturing, industrial, or military environment
  • Experience using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project)
  • Ability to work on-call hours as required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in coordinating contractors
  • Experience as a maintenance or outage planner within manufacturing facility
  • Prior Gypsum experience

Responsibilities

  • Ensure maintenance work is planned in a proactive method by ensuring all activities are appropriately scoped, estimated, resourced, and in ready state prior to start of work
  • Support the execution of maintenance work by receiving, planning, estimating and coordinating maintenance work orders
  • Collaborate with Production Teams, Plant Engineers, Maintenance Supervisor and Parts Coordinator to review daily routes, Preventative Maintenance tasks, Predictive Maintenance tasks, etc.
  • Provides daily work order and task performer hourly activities
  • Maintain an active running list of opportunity maintenance items for break-in work
  • Effectively use the CMMS to develop and maintain the maintenance schedule, manage equipment data, update Bill of Materials (BOM) for assets, and develop standard maintenance procedures (SMP)
  • Identifies/recommends opportunities for improvements
  • Maintains essential maintenance records and files
  • Scope work and assess the requirements for routine, planned down day, and annual outage activities
  • Work with Parts Coordinator and Storeroom to maintain equipment bill of materials, remove obsolete/inaccurate parts and populate incomplete bills of material.
  • Engage in the plant’s safety culture and be a leader in risk management
