About The Position

Warren High School is seeking an innovative, student-centered educator to serve as the EAST Facilitator. This position is designed for someone who believes learning should be meaningful, hands-on, and connected to the real world. The EAST Facilitator will lead a project-based program where students design solutions to real community needs using technology, creativity, and collaboration. This is not a traditional classroom role—this is a facilitator, mentor, and program leader who empowers students to take ownership of their work and make an impact beyond the school walls.

  • Ability to oversee multiple student-led community service projects.
  • Skills in helping students stay organized, meet deadlines, and produce quality work.
  • Experience integrating technology tools such as GIS, 3D printing, video production, and design software.
  • Ability to document student progress and celebrate project success.
  • Skills in developing and maintaining partnerships with local businesses, organizations, and leaders.
  • Ability to connect students with real clients and authentic problems.
  • Skills in coordinating student presentations to stakeholders, donors, and community groups.
  • Ability to promote EAST within the school and community.
  • Skills in preparing students for EAST Conference and other showcase opportunities.
  • Ability to advocate for innovative, project-based learning practices.
  • Ability to serve as a positive leader and role model for students.
  • Skills in monitoring student engagement and adjusting instruction.
  • Ability to facilitate student reflection, goal setting, and continuous improvement.
  • Willingness to participate in professional development and collaborate with the EAST network.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a Student-Driven Program: Create a classroom culture where students take ownership of their learning.
  • Guide students through real-world projects from idea to final product.
  • Encourage creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration daily.
  • Support students in building confidence, leadership skills, and independence.
  • Manage High-Impact Projects: Oversee multiple student-led community service projects at once.
  • Help students stay organized, meet deadlines, and produce quality work.
  • Integrate technology tools such as GIS, 3D printing, video production, and design software.
  • Document student progress and celebrate project success.
  • Build Strong Community Connections: Develop and maintain partnerships with local businesses, organizations, and leaders.
  • Connect students with real clients and authentic problems.
  • Coordinate student presentations to stakeholders, donors, and community groups.
  • Lead & Represent the Program: Promote EAST within the school and throughout the community.
  • Prepare students for EAST Conference and other showcase opportunities.
  • Advocate for innovative, project-based learning practices.
  • Serve as a positive leader and role model for students.
  • Use Data to Drive Growth: Monitor student engagement and adjust instruction as needed.
  • Facilitate student reflection, goal setting, and continuous improvement.
