About The Position

Carrier Sekani Family Services (CSFS) is seeking an Early Years Manager for a term position ending February 2028 in Vanderhoof, BC. CSFS is a leader in Indigenous health and family services, emphasizing culture in its operations. The Early Years Manager will ensure staff develop and implement community programming based on demonstrated need and program objectives, oversee the development of outcome measurement tools, provide leadership to the team, and maintain a documented system of records for program files. The role also requires compliance with local, provincial, and federal laws and regulations, and providing clinical supervision for Family Case Files.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Social Work, Early Childhood, Child and Youth or related field preferred; or Two years post-secondary education in a social science or health science degree program with extensive experience
• At least five years working with child & family or health service programs
• At least two (2) years of supervisory experience in a social or health services setting

Responsibilities

• Ensure staff develop and implement community programming based on demonstrated need and program objectives as outlined in the deliverables of funding contracts, community plans and individual goal plans
• Oversee the development of outcome measurement tools to measure the effectiveness of group programming and maintain records on attendance, financial cost and material delivered
• Provide leadership to the team and oversee the development of work plans, training requirements and administrative duties.
• Maintain a documented system of records for the program files which is inclusive of daily charting, monthly reports, quarterly reports, statistical records and reports, incident reports and the maintenance of personal files and forms required by the program.
• Comply with local, provincial and federal government laws, standards and regulations (Child and Family Services Act, Aboriginal Operational Procedures and Standards Indicators) and Work Safe Regulations
• Provide clinical supervision and direction for all Family Case Files
