About The Position

The City of Inver Grove Heights is seeking seasonal staff to assist with early voting activities during the 2026 general election. All staff must be versatile enough to work in a fast-paced environment and serve a variety of functions including: efficient and accurate processing of early voting ballot requests, provide customer service to absentee voters by phone and in-person, and provide election information to the general public. This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to understand election laws, rules, and procedures; ability to learn and utilize automated systems including the Statewide Voter Registration System; strong computer skills; strong customer service skills.

• Physical and emotional stamina
• Ability to attend election training

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience processing absentee ballots
• Previous experience working within the Statewide Voter Registration System
• Strong knowledge and understanding of current election laws, rules, and procedures
• Previous experience as an election judge

Responsibilities

• Assist with various early voting activities: customer service, assist in-person voters, fulfill absentee ballot requests, provide election information to the public, and assist with test decks and election preparation.
