About The Position

As an Early Preschool Assistant Teacher, you will foster a nurturing, safe, and vibrant classroom environment for children ages 2 to 3. Working closely alongside partner teachers, you'll help guide daily activities, encourage creative learning, and support each child's individual growth through positive verbal engagement and caring supervision.

Requirements

High School Diploma and 6 semesters or 9 quarter early childhood education units shall include courses that cover the general areas of early child development, child, family, and community, and program/curriculum
Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with young children.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Frequently walk, stand, sit, squat, stoop, reach, kneel, rise from the floor, twist, listen, read, write, and speak the English language.
Often requires an individual to carry, lift, use repetitive or fine hand movements, and occasionally push, pull, or bend.
Regularly required to hear and use clear vision with or without correction.

Nice To Haves

Prior teaching experience with preschool students is a plus

Responsibilities

Create a nurturing, responsive environment that promotes positive development of social and emotional competencies.
Communicate daily with parents and guardians while collaborating closely with co-teachers and school staff
Maintain a safe, healthy, and clean classroom environment following all safety and licensing guidelines
Assist children during meals, snacks, rest periods, and routine personal care (including toileting and diaper changing as needed)
Perform other related classroom and school support duties as assigned
