About The Position

At La Mère Academy, we are seeking a passionate 2-Year-Old Lead Teacher / Toddler Teacher who thrives in a daycare, preschool, or early childhood education setting. In this role, you will guide energetic toddlers through critical developmental milestones while creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.

Requirements

• Passion for toddlers, childcare, and early childhood education
• Experience in daycare, preschool, or child development preferred
• High School Diploma or GED
• CPR & First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Meets state licensing requirements
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Nice To Haves

• CDA or ECE degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead a 2-year-old classroom (toddler age group)
• Implement curriculum and daily lesson plans
• Provide nurturing care in a licensed childcare / daycare center
• Support social, emotional, language, and motor development
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom
• Build strong relationships with parents and staff
• Ensure compliance with Texas childcare licensing regulations
• Assist with parent-teacher conferences and assessments
