Early Morning Store Maintenance Associate
About The Position
The Early Morning Store Maintenance Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-cleaning equipment and performing dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning glass and windows. The associate follows operational, merchandise, health and safety, and loss prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The associate models established customer experience practices, contributes to a positive store culture, and communicates effectively with management and colleagues. The position also supports Front End coverage, store recovery, merchandising and signage standards, and a safe environment. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including listening and responding appropriately.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors.

Responsibilities
- Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
- Perform dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning glass and windows.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
- Follow company Health and Safety policies, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
- Cross-train in other store areas, such as the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor.
- Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
- Uphold the company merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
- Follow operational and loss prevention controls and company guidelines, including shrink-reduction measures.
- Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
- Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
- Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
- Model customer experience practices and contribute to a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
