Early Learning Tutor - Redland Elementary
About The Position
Early Learning Corps is on a mission to help young children start strong by developing essential skills and confidence before they enter kindergarten. As an Early Learning Tutor, you will work in a pre-kindergarten classroom, partnering with a teacher to deliver proven activities and provide one-on-one support to students. Your role will involve engaging children in talking, reading, writing, singing, and playing to build their early literacy and math skills. This position offers comprehensive training, ongoing coaching, and the opportunity to make a significant impact on children's lives and foster a love of learning.
Requirements
- Dependable and have a history of good attendance
- Able to follow instructions and make improvements based on feedback
- Proficient in basic computer skills (like email and navigating online)
- Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing
- 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
- A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States
- Able to successfully complete a background check
Responsibilities
- Be a caring adult who's focused on helping students thrive
- Support preschoolers with learning activities throughout the day
- Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach
- Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores into tracking software
- Commit to your own growth through coaching and training
- Share your experience with community
