About The Position

Early Learning Corps is seeking an Early Learning Tutor to work in a pre-kindergarten classroom at Markham Elementary School. The role focuses on helping young students build essential skills and confidence before they enter kindergarten. Tutors will partner with teachers to deliver proven activities, enhance learning through talking, reading, writing, singing, and playing, and provide extra attention and support to ignite a love of learning. The program offers comprehensive training and ongoing coaching.

Requirements

• Dependable and have a history of good attendance
• Able to follow instructions and make improvements based on feedback
• Proficient in basic computer skills (like email and navigating online)
• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing
• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
• A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States
• Able to successfully complete a background check

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult who's focused on helping students thrive
• Support preschoolers with learning activities throughout the day
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores into tracking software
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training
