About The Position

Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS) is seeking an Early Learning Specialist (ELS) for their Summer Fun in Hartley Park Program. This role involves supporting the setup and breakdown of program materials and actively engaging families during sessions. The position is part-time, working 8 hours per week for 8 weeks, starting in June. The ELS will attend program sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Requirements

• High School diploma
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to accept and implement constructive supervision individually and within the training group
• Ability to complete required training
• Interest in working with parents and young children
• Demonstrated warmth, patience, and professionalism
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Ability to bend, kneel, lift 30 pounds, climb stairs, and sit on floor
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and to relate well with supervisors, program officials, employees and others
• Basic computer skills and is comfortable using mobile apps

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Responsibilities
