About The Position

The Early Learning Program Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing workshops, skill groups, and outreach activities within the Early Childhood Social Emotional Supports Program. This position works closely with the Director of Social Emotional Support Services, Supervisors, and Coaches, as well as the Children’s Services Council and participating childcare programs, to ensure effective delivery of social-emotional support services for children ages birth through 5. The role engages both teachers of young children (ages 0–5) and their parents to support social-emotional development. The position requires providing services in the field and flexibility with daytime and evening hours to accommodate program and family needs.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in early childhood education, social-emotional coaching, or a related field is required.
  • Experience should primarily be in childcare center settings and include facilitating presentations and workshops.
  • Bilingual English-Spanish or Haitian Creole required.
  • Valid Florida’s driver’s license is required.
  • Successful completion of a background check through Clearinghouse.

Nice To Haves

  • A Master’s degree or at least four (4) years of relevant experience in Early Childhood, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Psychology, Educational Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with childcare centers, educators, and families to support early childhood development.
  • Develop and facilitate workshops and curriculum for teachers and parents focused on social-emotional development and effective strategies.
  • Support implementation of a multi-tiered early childhood social-emotional program using evidence-based frameworks.
  • Plan and lead family engagement activities, including playgroups, developmental screenings, and community-based events.
  • Conduct classroom observations and provide support to educators and program staff as needed.
  • Track program data, maintain accurate documentation, and support reporting and program evaluation efforts.
  • Assist with community outreach, partnerships, and marketing initiatives to increase program awareness and engagement.
