Requirements
- Two years of professional experience providing direct services to children and youth and a bachelor’s degree that includes 24 semester hours of college level courses in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, psychology, or human development; or An equivalent combination of professional experience and training, which includes one year of professional experience providing direct services to children and youth and 24 semester hours of college level courses in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, psychology, or human development.
- Must reside in or be willing to relocate to one of the following counties within the Western Region within the first 6 months of employment: Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Bedford, Blair, Butler, Cambria, Cameron, Clarion, Clearfield, Crawford, Elk, Erie, Fayette Forest, Franklin, Fulton, Greene, Huntingdon, Indiana, Jefferson, Lawrence, McKean, Mercer, Potter, Somerset, Venango, Warren, Washington, or Westmoreland.
- Must meet the PA residency requirement.
- Must be able to perform essential job functions.
- Satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
Responsibilities
- Respond to inquiries, provide technical assistance, and offer orientation information to operators
- Investigate provider compliance for applications, inspections, monitoring visits, and complaints
- Complete reports, determine compliance, and prepare documents for certification actions
- Participate in initiatives, review drafts, and represent regulatory positions in meetings
- Use electronic systems, prepare documents, and update provider information in required databases
