Early Learning Center Aftercare Staff
About The Position
Phillips Brooks School in Menlo Park is looking for qualified staff for our aftercare program. We are looking for staff member in our Early Learning Center. This role involves interacting with children in a safe and caring environment, supporting the lead staff with supervision, activity implementation, and snack distribution. Responsibilities also include assisting children with cleanup, conducting conflict resolution, implementing choice-based activities, and coordinating daily student sign-in and sign-out. The school fosters a caring and supportive work environment with a focus on children, offering onboarding and continual in-house training. Requirements
- Experience working with children
- Class management skills
- Someone who is highly responsible
- Positive growth mindset
- All prospective employees must be able to clear a background check and TB screening.
Nice To Haves
- Preferred ECE credential or credits towards certification
Responsibilities
- Interact with children in a safe & caring environment
- Support the lead with supervision of children, implementation of activities, and distribution of snack
- Assist children with clean up, empowering them to be independent as is appropriate for their age
- Conducting conflict resolution as needed between students & getting support from the lead staff as needed
- Implementing choice-based activities for children to engage with during their time in aftercare
- Coordinating sign in and sign out of students daily
