About The Position

The early interventionist position provides developmental therapy for families with children with developmental delays and disabilities (ages birth-5) in the home/community and center-based settings.

Requirements

• Must hold a baccalaureate and/or master and/or doctorate degree in early childhood special education, early childhood education, child, and family studies (child development), early intervention, deaf education or visual disabilities, special education K-12, elementary education, communication disorders, speech language pathology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and/or related field.
• Related field can include, but is not limited to, degree in social work, nursing, psychology, education administration, or sociology.
• Related field degrees require a minimum of one (1) year documented experience working with children with disabilities 0-5 years of age and their families.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.

Responsibilities

• Provide special instruction, under the title of, Early Interventionist, providing developmental therapy based on the IFSP for families of children with developmental delays and disabilities.
• Provision of services required independent planning, scheduling and transportation to home/community environment and center-based setting set by the IFSP.
• Contact and service documentation are required to record all interactions and services in child's educational record.
• Complete updates to IFSP goals and submit reports accordingly every six months for every child/family.
• Attend staff meetings, required trainings and seminars and additional training hours to maintain professional qualifications.
• Participate in and meet with supervisors to provide support through observations and meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.
