About The Position

Young Interventions, Inc. is seeking a Bilingual Spanish Speaking Early Intervention Specialist in North San Diego County. This position is available as a part-time or full-time opening. Candidates should be available to work 20+ client hours per week, plus drive time between sessions. The organization's mission is to improve the quality of life for infants and toddlers with or at risk of developing developmental disabilities. We are looking for qualified, motivated, energetic, and creative professionals to work with children in family homes to help implement personalized family-focused treatment programs. Our programs focus on a Routines-Based Parent Coaching Model to guide families in helping their child reach developmental milestones. This position will require home visits within Northern San Diego County, including areas like Vista, San Marcos, Escondido, Valley Center, Encinitas, Oceanside, Carlsbad, Pala Mesa, Fallbrook, and surrounding areas. Caseloads are centered around preferred locations when possible. Most programming is in client homes, but there may be a need for virtual sessions due to illness or special circumstances. The caseload may have a mix of in-person and virtual services depending on client/family needs or preferences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required (Child Development, Psychology, or related field)
  • Solid knowledge of basic stages of Infant / Toddler Child Development
  • Minimum of 1-year experience working with children 0-5 years
  • Ability to speak and read fluently in Spanish is Required
  • Hold a valid Driver's License
  • Have reliable transportation and willingness to travel to various home-based sites throughout the day (within 30 mile radius)
  • Maintain current Vehicle Insurance & Registration
  • Maintain current CPR Certification (Infant, Child & Adult)
  • Have current TB

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with Children with Special Needs is preferred

Responsibilities
