About The Position

The Service Coordinator Supervisor is responsible for assisting the EI Office Director in managing the day-to-day operations of the office. Responsibilities include direct supervision, training and assistance in the development of policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree which includes 12 college credits in early intervention, early childhood, special education, early childhood education, child development, special education, family counseling, family studies, social welfare, psychology or other comparable social sciences.
  • One to three years of professional level experience working in the Early Intervention system.
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

  • Provides individual and group supervision to service coordinators for ongoing work; performance and with challenging situations to ensure relevant policies and procedures are being implemented.
  • Individual and group training to promote the development of the Service Coordinator and expand their knowledge of the Early Intervention system.
  • As part of the Service Coordination senior management team the Supervisor assists the Office Director in the implementation of policies and procedures to assure compliance with regulations and bulletins.
  • Ensure that waiver information for each waiver-funded child is complete, accurate and in compliance with State bulletins and announcements.
  • Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with providers.
  • There must be evidence an Interface system with providers is in place to resolve problems and concerns regarding service delivery or procedural issues.
  • Monitoring for high quality standards for annual plans, monitoring and reporting of services have been imposed as a result of external policies for timely compliance and oversight of service delivery.
  • Provide informational presentations to community and provider groups.
  • Collaborate with other Health & Human Services and community partners to coordinate and maximize services for infants & toddlers and their families.
  • The Supervisor should be part of the leadership team in the office creating team spirit and maintaining morale.
  • Other duties as delegated.
