The Early Intervention (EI) program provides developmental support and services for children from birth through two years of age who have special developmental needs. EI services can help improve a child’s ability to develop and learn as well as assist families by teaching new ways to promote a child’s development. The EI program provides services such as speech therapy, physical therapy, and other developmental services. EI is a voluntary program offered statewide and does not discriminate based on race, culture, religion, income level or disability. This position is responsible for receiving referrals via the EI Colorado Referral Line, fax, and online referrals through the EI statewide Salesforce data system for families that have an infant or toddler with a diagnosed established condition or suspected developmental delay referred for evaluation to EI Colorado. As the initial service coordinator of record, this position is the first point of contact for families and is responsible for explaining the early intervention program and process for evaluation, family rights, eligibility, and service provision. This position is responsible for conducting the intake process and scheduling evaluation activities via the data system.
