Requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Computer-savvy with solid organizational skills
- A natural leader who thrives as part of a collaborative team
- Knowledgeable about child development and eager to apply best practices
- Problem-solving skills
- A CDA or AA degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (as defined by the Office of Head Start)
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or the willingness to obtain it)
Responsibilities
- Plan and lead engaging classroom activities
- Conduct assessments and maintain accurate records
- Partner with parents to inspire active participation
- Ensure an inclusive classroom for children with disabilities
- Incorporate health and nutrition activities
- Assist with recruitment efforts to connect more families to the Head Start program
