About The Position

As the Early Head Start Education manager, you’ll play an essential role in providing all aspects of a quality child development program with emphasis on the cognitive, social and emotional development of infants and toddlers. The Manager is responsible for supporting the agency’s mission through the oversight of Early Head Start Infant/Toddler Teachers and how they provide early childhood education services to infants and toddlers and their families. Your day will involve: Completing regular observations of all EHS, infant/toddler classrooms and provide feedback and support to teachers Working with the Early Head Start Center-Based Education Specialist in ensuring that HSPPS and NH Childcare Licensing requirements are being met. Engaging in and modeling adult-child interactions that are responsive, supportive, and respectful of children’s needs, development, and play interests. Complete all necessary administrative responsibilities such as reporting on development bench marks for children, completing screening tools, documenting curriculum plans. Supports EHS Infant/toddler teachers throughout the onboarding, orientation, and professional development by facilitating ongoing supervision and contributing to training opportunities. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field; infant/toddler coursework preferred
  • three years early childhood education teaching experience; infant/toddler experience required
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail, confidentiality, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive workplace and early childhood classroom experience.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • successful completion of criminal record check, CPR/First Aid certification
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required for occasional travel between program locations.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of supervisory or management level experience in related field preferred
  • Knowledge of community, county, state and federal policies regarding Head Start and Childcare Licensing preferred.
  • Skills in program development, implementation, operation, evaluation, and fiscal management preferred
