About The Position

Woodcraft Rangers is seeking an Early Education Manager who is passionate about community impact and making a difference in young people's lives. Founded in 1922, Woodcraft Rangers has a long history of guiding youth toward purposeful lives through a holistic framework that develops body, mind, spirit, and service. The organization provides TK-12 expanded learning programs, including early learning, college access, and inclusion services for youth with disabilities. Woodcraft Rangers serves over 30,000 youth annually across Los Angeles, San Bernardino, and Riverside counties. The ideal candidate will bridge high-level strategy and hands-on program delivery, with expertise in developmentally appropriate practice for TK-K learners and a proven track record of translating early learning frameworks into high-quality experiences. This leader will manage a team, empower staff through coaching and training, collaborate with partners, drive program improvement, and ensure engaging, child-centered curriculum execution. They should be a reflective practitioner who uses data and feedback for decision-making.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field — or equivalent experience
Minimum 2 years of leadership or management experience.
Experience in program design, training, and implementation.
Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and education equity.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Proven experience managing distributed teams in hybrid and multi-region environments

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree Child Development, or related field
Minimum 2 years of leadership or management experience with in early childhood education.

Responsibilities

Supervise and support Early Learning Associates through coaching, feedback, and performance management.
Foster a collaborative, growth-oriented team culture.
Ensure consistent, high-quality implementation across sites and regions.
Oversee project management of early learning initiatives and timelines.
Oversee the development and refinement of developmentally appropriate curriculum.
Lead and facilitate early learning trainings for staff.
Ensure alignment between curriculum, training, and field practices.
Guide ongoing research to inform program design, training, and curriculum.
Stay current on early childhood best practices and emerging trends.
Build and maintain relationships with LEA partners, school leaders, and community stakeholders.
Collaborate with internal teams to align early learning efforts with organizational priorities.
Implement monitoring and evaluation systems to ensure program quality and compliance.
Use feedback from students, families, and partners to inform improvements.
Lead CQI efforts within early learning programs.
Manage early learning components of training calendars, activity libraries, and resources.
Ensure systems support effective program delivery and scalability.
Model organizational values and contribute positively to organizational culture.
Promote a “Kids First” and whole-child approach in all program decisions.
