About The Position

A Child’s Place at 435 4th St Troy is looking for energetic, kind and compassionate people to join their staff! This location is on a bus line! Key Responsibilities Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for infants ages 6 weeks to 18 months. Serve as Lead Teacher in the infant classroom, partnering with the Childcare Manager to support the daily operations and overall functioning of the facility. Support all aspects of children’s care, including feeding, diapering, supervision, engagement, and developmental activities. Guide and collaborate with classroom staff to ensure consistent, high-quality care and programming. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment in accordance with health and safety standards. Create and sustain a warm, nurturing, and responsive environment that promotes children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development. Assist colleagues and support overall program operations as needed. Maintain required MAT (Medication Administration Training) certification. Promote and model an environment of inclusion, respect, and belonging for children, families, and staff. Qualifications Associate’s Degree (AA) in Early Childhood Education; or Child Development Associate (CDA) credential; or Minimum of 9 college credits in Early Childhood Education with experience working with infants and toddlers. Experience working with children ages 6 weeks to 18 months preferred. Strong flexibility and ability to adapt as program needs change throughout the day. Dependable, responsible, and committed to maintaining consistent attendance. Ability to pass required background checks in accordance with regulatory standards.
