About The Position
The Learning Experience is seeking an experienced Early Childhood Teacher to lead our 2-year-old classroom. Two-year-olds are developing language, independence, friendships, and confidence at an incredible pace. We’re looking for an educator who can channel their natural curiosity and energy into meaningful learning experiences while providing the structure and consistency young children need.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous professional daycare, preschool, childcare, or early childhood experience strongly preferred
- Experience working with toddlers or 2-year-olds preferred
- Lead classroom experience is a plus
- CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Dependable, energetic, nurturing, and team-oriented
- Must meet applicable Michigan childcare licensing requirements
Responsibilities
- Lead a safe, engaging, and nurturing classroom for 2-year-olds
- Implement The Learning Experience’s proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum
- Create hands-on experiences through art, music, movement, sensory play, and exploration
- Support language development, independence, and early social skills
- Encourage developing self-help and toileting skills
- Maintain consistent routines and positive classroom guidance
- Observe children’s development and maintain required documentation
- Build strong relationships and communicate regularly with families
- Guide and collaborate with classroom support teachers
- Follow Michigan childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements
