About The Position

The Learning Experience – Ashburn is seeking an experienced and nurturing Early Childhood Teacher to join our Twaddler/Prepper classroom, working with children as they transition from toddlerhood into the preschool years. This is an exciting developmental stage filled with growing independence, expanding language skills, big personalities, and lots of curiosity. We're looking for an educator who understands how to provide the structure and consistency young children need while making learning engaging and fun.

Requirements

Previous professional childcare, daycare, or preschool experience required
High School Diploma or GED required
Must meet Virginia childcare licensing requirements

Nice To Haves

CDA preferred, but not required
Experience working with toddlers, two-year-olds, or young preschoolers strongly preferred
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Patient, dependable, nurturing, and team-oriented

Responsibilities

Lead daily classroom routines and learning experiences for young preschool-aged children
Implement The Learning Experience's proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum through hands-on, developmentally appropriate activities
Support children's language, cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development
Encourage independence, communication, and emerging self-help skills
Use positive guidance to support classroom behavior and successful transitions
Create a safe, organized, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
Observe children's development and communicate regularly with families
Collaborate with fellow teachers and center leadership
Follow all Virginia childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements
