About The Position

Loyola Medicine, a member of Trinity Health, is a nationally ranked academic, quaternary care system based in Chicago's western suburbs. With its main campus at Loyola University Medical Center, Loyola Medicine is part of a comprehensive three-hospital system including Loyola University Medical Center, Gottlieb Memorial Hospital, and MacNeal Hospital. Gottlieb Memorial Hospital is seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Classroom Teacher to join our Early Childhood Education team. In this role, you'll provide a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that supports young children's growth and development.

Requirements

  • For Candidates Without an Associate's Degree: Must qualify with a total of 30 general college credit hours AND 6 credit hours in Early Childhood Education/Child Development from birth to age 6 or an equivalent Child Development Associate Certification (CDA).
  • Must have completed 15 certified hours of Gateways to Opportunity Continuing Education Units.
  • Must have current Membership to Gateways to Opportunity.
  • Must have current CPR/First Aid Certification (or complete through Loyola during the first 30 days of employment).
  • Food Handling certification.
  • For Candidates with an Associate's Degree: Must meet the State of Illinois Department of Children and Family Services Early Childhood Education teacher requirements.
  • Must have 60 college credit hours (with 6 credit hours in Early Childhood Education/Child Development from birth to age 6).
  • Must have current Membership to Gateways to Opportunity.
  • Must have current CPR/First Aid Certification (or complete through Loyola during the first 30 days of employment).
  • Food Handling certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education.
