Requirements

Must be at least 19 years of age.
High School Diploma or GED.
Current physical (within six months) if hired
Tuberculosis (Mantoux) test if hired
Ability to pass fingerprinting and background check.
CPR and First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain).
Food Handler Certification (or ability to obtain).
Complete 15 hours of annual professional development as required by DCFS

Nice To Haves

60 semester hours (or 90 quarter hours) from an accredited college, including coursework in child care or child development.
One year (1,560 hours) of experience in a licensed daycare, preschool, nursery school, or kindergarten, along with qualifying college coursework in child care or child development.

Building strong relationships with families through daily communication.
Leading indoor and outdoor activities that promote healthy growth and active play.
Assisting with meals, snacks, hygiene, and daily care routines.
Encouraging independence, kindness, and positive behavior.
Maintaining a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment.
Following all Stevens Industries Childcare policies and DCFS licensing regulations.
