About The Position

This role is for an Early Childhood Teacher - Educational Leader at Goodstart Mannering Park, a full-time position requiring 38 hours per week. The position involves leading change, championing practice uplift and excellence, and assisting to lead an integrated early learning centre to ensure children have the learning, development, and wellbeing outcomes they need for school and life. The role offers the chance to refine leadership skills and guide a strong education team, implementing the Goodstart Plus early childhood model. As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will ignite a love of learning, guide development with purposeful teaching practices, build strong relationships with families, and mentor educational practices. As an Educational Leader, you will collaborate with Educators to enhance educational programs, deepen understanding of child development and the Early Years Learning Framework, and lead transformative changes. Goodstart Plus is an enhanced, integrated place-based approach designed to support children in their foundational first five years, providing additional support, specialist expertise, and stronger connections with families and community services. The Mannering Park centre is a 38-place facility with a focus on community connections, nature, environment, sustainability, and strong links with the local public school. It offers a supportive team environment that values ideas and invests in professional growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education) or ACECQA approved equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
  • Current N.S.W. Working with Children Check
  • Hold active accreditation with N.S.W. Education Standards Authority (NESA)
  • Previous experience as a Teacher leading change in education

Responsibilities

  • Deliver the bespoke Goodstart Plus approach learning program.
  • Build and encourage a talented team of early learning professionals, sharing knowledge and contributing to a culture of reflective practice and ongoing improvement.
  • Work with the team to plan for the future of the centre, building the attendance pipeline and maintaining a revenue-generating business.
  • Collaborate with Educators to observe, review, and continuously enhance the educational programs offered to children.
  • Deepen the team's understanding of child development and early years content, guiding the application of the Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Lead transformative changes and champion excellence in educational practice.
  • Mentor and inspire educational practices in your room.
  • Collaborate with the centre leadership team to develop, review, and implement high-quality early learning programs, achieving outstanding outcomes for children.
