Early Childhood Teacher Assistant (Effective 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR)
About The Position
Assists early childhood teachers in performing their classroom teaching responsibilities. This position is for the 2026-2027 school year and offers higher pay due to community-approved funding through June 2031. The role is located at Manzo Elementary School in the Speedway & Grande Ave Area. It is classified as White Collar with a .6 FTE, working 4.8 hours per day on a 9-month calendar. Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits. Requirements
- Speak, read and write in English.
- One year of experience working with youth or children.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Associate’s (or higher) degree OR 60 Semester-Hour credits from an accredited institution OR AZ Dept. of Education-approved Academic Assessment Test.
- AZ Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
- CPR and First Aid Certification (required within 90 days of hire at employee's expense). Certification must be maintained current during course of employment.
- A minimum of six units of formal Early Childhood training classes required OR must be willing to enroll in courses
